Execution of “2030 Statement” is possible through realization of “Reform Statement”

Dr. Fakhreddin Danesh Ashtiani said in his unexpected visit from Shahid Bahonar Pardis for girls: “Statement of 2030” is a recommendation by UNESCO for permanent development in countries and two subjects of education and health are emphasized in it; reports Public relations of the Ministry of Education. Education of all members of society is stressed in this recommendation and all countries are supposed to present an annual report of their educational process to UNESCO.

This statement is just a recommendation not mandatory, as it says; it is not suggested to execute items contradicting with local beliefs or traditions. In our country, execution of this statement is through “Reform Statement” and nothing out of this frame, added he.

Why executing this statement, if the contents of it is the same as those in “Reform Statement”?, one may ask, and the answer is to be present Iran’s educational status and our achievements in this respect to the world and to interact with other countries, Minister of Education said.

“Statement of 2030” doesn’t have any obligations for Iran; it is just an agreement which most of its article are in accordance with our own “Reform Statement”. Dr. Ashtiani continued: What some say about this document, being signed by Ministers of Education is completely false, because it is just an agreement, based on which, countries are gathered in UNESCO and study their processes. Since, Iran has a good position on education and health, it is important for our country to present itself as it is and to avoid false conclusions.
