During a meeting with Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi on Monday morning and while explaining process of production of textbooks within a frame of policies instructed by the Supreme Leader, contents of “Reform Documents” and educational Plans, Dr. Mohammadian said: As you are well aware, Organization for Educational Research and Programming has produced 1150 titles of textbooks with near 120,000,000 copies for students from 1st grade to the end of high school, reports Public Relations of OERP.
It has been a few years now since we have begun to compile textbooks based on “Educational system Reform Plan” and every year books and contents of two grades are revised according to “National Educational Plan” which is focused on flourishing human nature. This concept (flourishing human nature) is summarized in five elements of thinking, faith, knowledge, action and morality and in 4 connection fields; connection with God, people, creation, and oneself (here we borrowed concept of creation from you). These are crystalized in 11 learning territory, including Thinking and Wisdom, Qur’an and Islamic Knowledge, Foreign Farsi Language and Literature, Social Studies, Mathematics, Natural Science, Health and Physical Training, Culture and Art, Job and Technology, Life Skills and Manners and Family, Foreign Language with an ultimate objective of reachimg steps of “Pure Life”.
Textbooks used to read; came along clouds, it rained, plants grew, but they never talked about the “Cause” and thus, students used to adopt with same way of thinking, but now we try to call students’ attentions to “cause and purpose” and we have got help from Qur’an in this respect.
