FIRA competitions start at Amirkabir University

Federation of International Robot-soccer Association (FIRA) Competitions and the 1st round of humanoids Olympic opened on December 3 in the format of 8 student leagues in different sectors, namely in humanoids Olympic, mine detector, flying, labor, advanced navigator (foreign students) and student's navigator (domestic and foreign students).

The secretary of the 6th FIRA Competitions Soroush Sadeq Nejad said 193 teams from Iran, Canada, Germany, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria registered for the competitions , adding that 162 teams were technically qualified and finally 86 teams participated in the event.

Sadeq Nejad said that the event was organized after signing an MoU between Amirkabir University and FIRA.

The 1st humanoids Olympic in two sections of high school and university students is under way with the attendance of some 13 teams in football, basketball, karate, track and field, weight lifting, gymnastics, shooting and rugby.
