First Archeological Explorations in Prehistoric Region in Southern Iran

RICHT Public Relations Office quoted head of the exploration team in Tall-e Suzu area Mohammad Hossein Azizi Kharaneqi as saying so far 10 experimental speculations have been conducted in 1x1m dimension for the identification of the limits of the area, adding that speculation operation will be continued.
He attributed surface works of the area to the fifth millennium B.C. and reiterated, "Tall-e Suzu area can be considered one of the southernmost areas of the influence of Bakun culture on the northern coasts of the Persian Gulf.”
Kharaneqi pointed to the exploration of Tall-e Suzu as the first archeological exploration project of prehistoric era in Bushehr Province and expressed the hope that explorations will provide an opportunity for presenting a relative and absolute chronology of the prehistoric cultures in the fifth millennium B.C.
"The project was launched under the support and efforts of Nasrollah Ebrahimi, Deputy of Cultural Heritage of Bushehr Province, and cooperation of Hamideh Choobak, head of the Archeology Research Institute,” he said.
