The Policy Council of the 52nd Roshd International Film Festival was held with the introduction of the members and emphasis on the transformational aspects of the education system with the focus on the school of identity as the approach of this festival.

The first meeting of the Policy Council of the 52nd Roshd International Film Festival was held, according to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Educational Research and Planning Organization.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ali Latifi, Deputy Minister and Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization, while appreciating the presence of council members, pointed to three important and effective axes in the planning process of the festival, and described the Roshd International Film Festival as the most historic art event in education and even in the country, and noted the social atmosphere of the Corona transition period and the efforts to make the 52nd period prosperous.

The Deputy Minister of Education pointed to the promotion of the festival in various dimensions such as the Policy, Review and Pathology Council compared to previous periods and the festival being in line with the educational goals of the education system to increase the effectiveness of this period of the festival.

Dr. Latifi emphasized on the diligence and participation of all council members, including the deputies of the Ministry of Education and other council member institutions such as the Radio, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, etc., and the secretariat of the festival.

Objectives and approaches of the 52nd Roshd International Film Festival

Mohammad Saleh Maznabi, Director General of the Office of Publishing and Educational Technology, explained the main goals of the festival and the approaches of the fifty-second period as identifying and introducing the best scientific, educational and training productions in the field of film and cinema with the aim of helping to create a platform to guide and support these productions at national and international levels to support the field of Islamic and revolutionary education, artistic and educational support formal education and learning, creating the basis of basic justice for the growth and development of the artistic educational capacity of filmmaking teachers and students, promoting innovation and creativity and improving the quality of scientific and educational films are among the major goals of this festival.

In another part of the meeting, Dr. Rezvan Hakimzadeh, Deputy Minister of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education, while emphasizing the eloquence and accessibility of the language of art, especially the effectiveness of expressing a content through a film, referred to students' cultural activities during Nowruz and said: " The capacity of this festival can be used to produce works by students".

Mohammad Mehdi Kazemi, Deputy Minister of Secondary Education, said in another part of the meeting: "The impact of the film is not comparable to any other work of art." He stressed the importance of selecting effective topics that have the potential to identify and enhance the value system, such as topics that have forward-looking approaches, and curriculum approaches ‌.

Asghar Bagherzadeh, Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, expressed the issue of image representation and its impact, especially in the minds of children, with an example from the verses of the Holy Quran and added: "We should look at this festival from an educational process. We will follow this process in the foster care department".

Majid Ismaili, the director of the Cinema Museum and the judge of the New Age TV program (Asre Jadid), emphasized on identifying the important and basic issues of education and the country and its translator in the form of suitable topics for this period of the festival. He considered the issue of talent identification, promotion of home economy and jihad of explanation as his proposed approaches for the fifty-second period.

Hojjat-ul-Islam and Muslims Dr. Ali Latifi, noted the need to pay attention to the production of flagship films in the field of children and adolescents, and considered the festival as part of the ecology of the activities of other deputy ministers of education and said: "Each of the activities is a piece of the big puzzle of the educational goals of the Ministry of Education."

At the end of the meeting, Sadegh Yazdani, Secretary of the 52nd Roshd International Film Festival, thanked all the members of the meeting and said: "The school arena is the point that connects the three educational elements of teacher, family and student, and therefore the approach of this period of the festival is to identify the school."
