Foreign guests’ visit to TIBF useful

According to the website of the 28th Tehran International Book Fair, Mahmoud Amouzgar said: “In spite of financial restrictions, the 28th TIBF will be quite different from those editions held in the past.”

He added that the international reflection of the performance of this fair, and the foreign publishers and cultural figures’ willingness to visit Tehran Book Fair is an indication that we will be faced with a different situation, and programs held at the other part of the fair have a great impact on enhancing the quality of the expo.

“The subjects of the meetings and the gatherings are on the issues related to publishing and culture, and it is predicted that the 28th Tehran International Book Fair play a great role in removing barriers to the development of the field of publishing in Iran,” Amouzgar added.

Spokesman of the Policy-Making Council of the 28th TIBF explained the impact of the invitees on the exchange of ideas between the Iranian and foreign publishers in the course of the exhibition:

“Several culture ministers and directors of international book fairs will attend TIBF. Furthermore, the big international publishing companies which did not work with Iran during the economic sanctions imposed because of its nuclear program will participate at the 28th edition of this event.”
