According to the public relations department of the education organization of Khorasan Razavi, Hodjatol Eslamwal Moslemine Dr. Mohyeddine Bahrame Mohammadiane, deputy minister and chairman of the organization of educational research and planning, at the opening ceremony of the 47th international film festival announced that the festival is an innovation of the ministry, with a history of nearly 50 years, and that this year the festival will take place in this city on the occasion of choosing Mashhad as the cultural capital of the world of Islam. This city is well-prepared to host the festival especially under the blessed name of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza.
He said that the participants of this festival must specialize, have an interdisciplinary knowledge and well know the film industry. Moreover, the participation of student teachers in the festival is a realization of the document of the fundamental transformation of education because a remarkable fringe of this festival is the realization of workshops for the students teachers, because in the document of fundamental transformation of education it is urged to break the monopoly of education in the form of textbooks, to use other media in training programs as well.
Making reference to the presence of the national and foreign jury, the ISESCO and OIC chiefs in the festival he announced that 110 films from 37 countries participated in this festival.
