Haddad Adel: training Persian language in Iraq needs special planning

Speaking at a ceremony held for the Persian language graduates of Baghdad University professors in Tehran, Haddad Adel said teaching Persian language in Iraq needs a special planning based.

He added that such planning should be based on four major elements the most important of which is participation of the foreign learners in the knowledge enhancement courses inside Iran.

The official said regardless of the problem of language, Iraqis are the closest nation to Iranians.

'Shia Iranians have always been interested to be in Iraq and even be buried in that country after they die,' Haddad Adel noted.

As for other major steps to be taken for teaching Persian language to Iraqi learners, he referred to the participation of Iraqi professors and students in short-term knowledge enhancement courses inside Iran, sending Iranian Persian language professors to Iraq to train their Iraqi colleagues and also training Persian language teachers inside Iraq.

Referring to the existence of holy places and shrines both in Iran and Iraq and accordingly, the presence of pilgrims in the two countries, Haddad Adel said there is a wide range of Iraqi visitors who need to learn the Persian language and it is necessary to prepare suitable Persian language training packages for them.

During the ceremony, professors of Baghdad University who had completed the Persian language knowledge enhancement course in Iran have received their certificates along with some awards and memorials.

The Persian language knowledge enhancement courses are held by the Sa'di Foundation for foreign university professors and students who are to learn Persian language.
