The Roshd International Film Festival, which is in preparation of its 45th round this year, is a great opportunity to promote humanity and human values.
Today, we are witnessing more than ever how armed conflicts are challenging the most fundamental human norms all over the globe.
Taking this into account, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in its eighth presence in Roshd Film Festival, as an international humanitarian organization is planning to select three films best illustrating humanity and humanitarian assistance at wars, in a bid to draw the public attention to exalted human values that have to be respected even in times of war. Wars are gone, but their consequences linger on for many years to come.
While acknowledging the efforts of all the organizers, the ICRC would like to cordially appreciate almost half a century of fruitful endeavors of Roshd Festival.
