In his paper, he has made an attempt to analyze the methodology adopted by the Imam in his commentaries on the Quran, with particular emphasis on the use of the classification of the commentary into "Anfusy" and "Afaaqy".
References are made to such concepts as Manifestation and Migration as they occur in the Quran in the viewpoint of the Imam.
In effect, the apparent and hidden meanings of some of these concepts are discussed based on the Imam’s methodology.
He stressed that every commentator is only conveying the utmost of what he understands only, and not the fullest meaning of the Quran.
Hamzah Muhammad Lawal will present his paper at the international conference on “Quran in Imam Khomeini’s Seerah and Thought”, which will be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Sunday, November 1.
The international event will feature themes like the importance of Quran in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) view, Quran interpretation principles in view of Imam Khomeini (RA), manifestation of Quranic teachings in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) political and social Seerah, and Quranic ethics in Imam Khomeini’s (RA) deeds and words.
