Imam Khomeini (RA) Demonstrated Islam’s Greatness to World

Speaking in a ceremony held in the southern city of Shahrekord to mark the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s return from exile in Paris, Hossein Mozaffar said the greatest accomplishment of Imam Khomeini in the revolution was reviving the religion and demonstrating the dynamism and greatness of the Islamic civilization.

He stressed that Islam was the motivation and mosques and religious places were the origins of the revolution and that it was led to victory by Imam Khomeini, a religious leader.

Mozaffar also noted that the slogans of the revolution were rooted in Quranic and religious teachings and the school of Ashura.

Imam Khomeini (RA) returned from exile on February 1, 1979 and led the revolution to victory ten days later on February 11.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.

Each year, on the days between February 1-11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr (dawn), Iranian people pour into the streets in their millions to commemorate the great victory of the Islamic Revolution.
