Implementation of skills training program for students in eight provinces

According to Pana news, Seyyed Mohammad Bathayi at the conference on the role of the educational system in business development said that the challenge of employment is one of the main concerns of the country at the level of macro management. It must be admitted that this challenge has become a crisis today; a crisis that affects all social issues. The impact of this important issue, regardless of its economic effects of the livelihoods of the people, it will have important social, political and cultural implications in the future of the country. The skilled young people should enter the business market and play a significant role in the domestic production of the country. In this context, education can play a very important role in improving business and employment.

He added: “since the past, so many efforts have been made in education to play the expected role in the business pyramid of the country, but unfortunately it has not yet reached a deserved status. Since the Revolution of Education, we have been trying to integrate our field of public education with the business sector, which has made progress and success, but it has been a sinus movement and has left education far from improving the business environment.”

The education minister said that there are two reasons which has made us fail in business program where the first reason is that our educational system has gradually forgotten its mission since the late seventies and early eighties; and the second reason is that we have put less emphasis on social skills training in curriculum. We started efforts to improve the quality of the education system, but unfortunately, it's hard to have changes in education because of existing organizational culture. But this does not mean that we are not thinking about reform, although this reformation is gradual.

The Minister of Education also announced the start of a project in eight provinces of the country, which will help students to learn basic skills in the six and twenty-four-hour periods to make them become acquainted with the job market.
