He made the remarks in a statement to a conference in the Academy of Persian Language and Literature in Tehran.
He hoped that similar conferences will also be held in India.
Conference 'Iran and India, Two Great Cultures: A Look at Past and Future Prospects' in presence of the two countries' researchers and political officials will work until Wednesday.
He further noted that common words in Persian and Indian languages as well as other commonalities found in the two nations' music, meals and clothing indicate historic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The envoy also hoped that research works on the two civilizations and their relations.
Referring to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi' recent visit to Tehran, he said that premier's message was very clear it is essential to undertake further activities on studying and promoting Persian language.
Meanwhile, Fathollah Mojtabaei, a permanent member of the academy told the same conference that no two nations in the course of history have had communications and trade to this extent.
The two countries' civilizational ties date back to pre-historic era, he said, noting that relics found in India recently bear many resemblances to those in Burn City in Sistan Baluchestan.
