Inscription of four television documentaries on the National Memory of the World Register

The proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Broadcasting (IRIB) were put forth by Mr (Eng.) Anbarloui, pursuant to which the committee agreed to the inscription of four documentaries made by the different channels of the IRIB. These include: Yad-o Yadegar (Memory and Memento), Pol-e Azadi (The Freedom Bridge), Hamrah-e Bad dar Del-e Tanhayi-e Kavir (Together with the Wind in the Loneliness of the Desert), Koudakan-e Sarzamin-e Man (The Children of My Land).

Additionally, the Committee decided on further highlighting the national value and importance of nominated works in their nomination files.

The Iranian National Committee for the Memory of the World was established in 2005. It has so far managed to have 9 works of documentary heritage inscribed on the Memory of the World Register, 5 works inscribed on the Asia-Pacific Regional Register for the Memory of the World, and more than 40 works inscribed on the National Memory of the World Register.
