In its latest meeting, the working group awarded Dr. Masoumeh Nasiri of Sharif University of Technology and Dr. Faramarz Fekri of Georgia Institute of Technology with “Nano communication networks” international research chair and Dr. Saeed Ziaei-Rad of Isfahan University of Technology with “Micro- and Nano-mechanics” group research chair.
The working group also awarded a group of researchers of Sharif University of Technology led by Dr. Roozbeh Parviz of the University of Waterloo with “designing a solar thermal energy storage system using metal hydride nanocomposites” research grant. Dr. Rasoul Nasr-Isfahani of Isfahan University of Technology was also awarded with “Fourier analysis and its applications” group research grant. The session also reviewed applications for Allameh Tabatabai and Shahid Avini Awards and accepted a number of them.
