According to Pana, Mr. Mahmoud Shafagh said: “This is the first time that the International Festival of Roshd will be held in a mega way in a city other than Tehran.” He asked media to pay more attention to the festival and follow it, for it is an international event.
He referred to some preparatory measures for the forty-seventh Film Festival of Roshd, adding that holding several meetings with officials of the Ministry of Education, provincial directors, art associations in the field of film, poster design, job descriptions, formation of committees and planning for the best performance of the festival are the actions taken. Adding: "I see this festival as an opportunity for the province to make its capacity grow more" said the secretary of the forty-seventh International Film Festival.”
He said: 1257 works have been received at the secretariat of the festival, and the works include 707 Iranian works, 242 international works, 140 cultural works, 32 student-teacher's works and 136 student works, while from 1257 works received, 261 works have taken their ticket to the next stage, which will be reviewed at this stage in content and three will be selected in each section. He also stated that these films are documentary, as scientific-educational, dynamic, long and short films, and these works are from 40 countries, including Spain, France and Germany.
