International Quds Day

'Announcing the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day by Imam Khomeini was a strategic measure to support freeing the first Kiblah of Muslims as well as Palestinian soil from occupation of the oppressive false sovereignty of the Zionist regime of Israel, no matter if the Zionist regime, the global arrogance or even some Muslim states have always been opposing it. The latter opposed the idea instead of profiting from such an invaluable opportunity to utilize the full capacity of the Islamic world to free Palestine.

It is necessary for us to join the masses of millions of people rallying in this day before the Friday prayers to defend our religion, the holy Quran and the ideal of Muslims.'

It is worth mentioning that he last Friday of the holy (fasting) month of Ramadan was instituted as Quds day in 1979 by the late Imam Khomeini in support of Palestinians' struggle against Israeli occupation. Millions of Muslims and non-Muslims, in different countries all over the world, rally in this day to demonstrate their support for the oppressed people of Palestine.
