Int'l seminar to host representatives of nine religions in Tehran

Representatives of nine religions from 15 countries will attend the event.

The Tehran international seminar is being held in cooperation with Iran's Department of Environment (DOE), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The participants are representatives from Shia and Sunni Muslims, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Buddists, Jews, Christians, and Jainists.

The two-day seminar is aimed at holding talks on how much religion and culture can help preserve the environment and promote sustainable development.
