Iran’s Day held at Moscow International Book Fair

According to IBNA, Iran’s Day ceremony was attended by Grigoriev, deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for Press, Amir-Masoud Shahram-Nia, director of Iran Cultural Fairs Institute, and Sergey Kaykin, the director general of the Moscow International Book Fair.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Shahram-Nia referred to the presence of Iran in the period before the Moscow Book Fair, as a special guest and said: “Iran's Culture Minister Ali Jannati and the Iran's Deputy Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi were present at Moscow International Book Fair last year and general agreements on cultural exchanges between the two countries were signed which are now bearing fruits.

Sergey Kaykin, Head of the Moscow Book Fair also said: “In the past two years, cultural events and interactive relations took place between Tehran Book Fair and Moscow Book Fair. Iran’s presence as special guest and also Russia’s presence as special guest in Tehran International Book Fair promoted cultural relations between the two countries.”

The ceremony ended with the performance of traditional Iranian music and entertainment. It continued with Iran programs in the Moscow Book Fair on the third day of the event and a meeting to introduce the literary society of Iran in Moscow was held in the Iranian stall.
