Iran attends 2018 Belgrade Book Fair

Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljević and Morocco Minister of Culture and Communication Mustapha El Khalfi participated in the opening ceremony of the event.

Over 500 publishers attended the event directly and about 500 others from cultural centers presented 170,000 books which have been published in 2016-2017.

In addition to Serbian publishers, Russia, Angola, Australia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the UK, Italy, Greece, Croatia, India, Iran, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Canada, China, Brazil, Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia, the Czech Republic, UAE, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Montenegro and Poland also attended the book fair which is the biggest literary event in southeastern Europe.

Iranian stall has presented over 100 works which has been translated to Serbian language, handicrafts, cultural brochures, films and maps.

Nahj al-Balagha, Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, Masnavi, Bustan, tThe Conference of the Birds, Parvin E'tesami's work, Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám and some other prominent works are being displayed in the event.

The 2018 Belgrade Book Fair will be underway until October 28.
