Iran attends 21st Intl. Book Fair of Algiers

The 21st edition of International Book Fair of Algiers (SILA) was inaugurated on Wednesday by Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal accompanied by the members of the government, including Minister of Culture Azzeddine Mihoubi and Minister of Communication Hamid Grine as well as Niger’s Prime Minister Brigi Rafini, who is on an official visit to Algiers.

More than 290 Algerian publishers and 671 foreign exhibitors from about fifty countries are taking part in the 21st SILA, to be held until November 5.

Iran’s stand in this edition of the book fair covers 16 square meters of ground and displays 200 book titles on various topics including Iranian studies, arts, children and adolescents, and Persian language training.

The Algerian Prime Minister while vising Iran’s stand at the book fair announced that he will be present for the inauguration of Algeria’s cultural week in Tehran on November 4, 2016.
