Addressing the event which was held in the city of Ilijas, Heydari congratulated the Bosnian National Day and called for providing educational opportunities, especially in the field of language learning for the younger generation, IRNA reported.
Heydari also hailed the coincidence of Bosnia’s National Day and the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PUBH).
Held in Persian-Bosnian College’s language center, the event was also attended by Ilijas Mayor Akef Fazelich and Persian language teachers and students.
Fazelich, for his part, hailed “Iran’s significant role in defending the Bosnian people and expressed hope that such joint educational and cultural programs will help students and the youth get a deeper knowledge of their history and identity.”
Iran and Bosnia have had longstanding friendly relations in a wide range of economic, political and cultural fields.
