Iran-France cultural programs have many enthusiasts

François Sénémaud told IRNA that given the rich cultures of the two countries, the enthusiasm shown by the French and Iranians for cultural programs can pave the way for holding various cultural events in the two countries.

On average, each month one cultural program is being held in each country, he said, noting they would undoubtedly have positive impacts on bilateral relations.

He cited 'Louvre at Tehran' and 'The Rose Empire: Masterpieces of 19th-Century Persian Art' at the Louvre Museum's branch in Lens as the two recent cultural events which received considerable attention.

He insisted. "Since these programs are always welcome, I would personally like to increase such programs."

Noting that cinema is an influential cultural tool in the world, Sénémaud said that screening and reviewing French films at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art indicate that entertainment is not the only objective of bilateral cooperation.
