Iran grants 500 scholarships to Afghan government

Bahrami made the remark in an address to a meeting of professors and students of Afghan Goharshad University.
He said the scholarships will be put at the disposal of Afghan government to be granted to the qualified students.
Bahrami added that the scholarships will concern candidates for three sections of Ph.D. and the master and bachelor degrees, mainly the PhD and master programs.
He added that there should be connections between universities of the two countries and it should be started by them and governments should necessarily facilitate the relations.
More than 10,000 Afghan citizens are studying in Iranian universities now and around 400 of them are in medical schools.
To a question concerning limitations on occupation and residence of Afghan refugees in Iran, the ambassador said that all these moves should be legal and not illegal.
He added that in comprehensive document of Iran-Afghanistan relations, the issue of legal work for Afghan refugees is under consideration and attention.
