Iran has taken spectacular steps in refugees education

Folrance Gillette head of Red Cross representative in Iran, said in the ending ceremony of 46th Roshd Film Festival: This festival with a!most half a century precedence, is emphasizing  role of films in education and it shows Iran's efforts to develop education amongst future generations, Fars News reports.

In your country, everybody has got the opportunity to educate, but in many countries like Afghanistan, Nigeria, Somalia and ... it's impossible for them and Iran has taken spectacular steps in refugees education.

Referring to 60 million people who are driven away from their homes because of war and violence, Gillette said: Most of these people are children and they are denied of most of their basic rights, like education.

5 years ago, Red Cross decided to support Roshd Festival by presenting an award to the best film focusing human rights. The objective is to encourage young talents to picture victims of wars, conflicts, violence and natural disasters, so we can learn about their status and challenges.

Head of Red Cross representative in Iran then added: The eyes who witness these disasters may not be alive tomorrow, but these images will live forever and these films are great help to ensure education right for everybody.
