Iran to Hold Forum on Islamic Revolution in Ghana

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program will be held on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the Islamic revolution’s victory in Iran. 

The Iran-Ghana University Students’ Association will cooperate in holding the forum. 

The University of Ghana will host the program, to be attended by academic, cultural and political figures. 

The center has also planned a special program on the occasion to be held for the Iranians residing in Ghana on February 8. 

The Iranian embassy in Ghana will celebrate Iran’s national day on February 9. 

Exhibition of photos and handicrafts, a book fair, video programs, and publication of articles in English in Ghana will be among the programs of the center to mark the occasion. 

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime in February 1979, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
