The announcement was made by Nima Rezaei, President of USERN, at the first consultative meeting of world top 1% most cited scientists on Thursday, who added that the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) congress will be held for the first time at Tehran University of Medical Sciences next year in November.
He maintained that the USERN prize would be annually bestowed to junior scientists or researchers less than 35 years of age for any novel advancement or achievement in scientific education, research, or serving the humanity in five scientific fields including medical sciences, life sciences, formal sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences.
He further added that a number of centers in the US and European countries have voiced their support for holding the congress.
Rezaei highlighted that the congress could create job opportunities for USERN prize winners, while maintaining that more than 100 scientists in the world top 1% most cited are Iranian.
“We aim to turn USERN into the second home for all top scientists in the world, because if scientists work side by side, they will be less likely to make errors,” Rezaei said.
The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) has been inaugurated in 2015 as an independent organization with the main purpose of peaceful and humanitarian promotion of education and research, universally. It comprises of top 1% scientists in all 21 scientific fields as the advisory board members who would manage and supervise the educational and research programs in their field of specialty.
According to USERN website, the prizes for the winners will include:
- USERN prize stature and medal
- 10,000$ USERN award for the best scientific work promotion
- The travel grant for attending the festival including attending the meetings and conferences, flight ticket, accommodation, and attending the social program
- The winners in each field will be offered one week scientific/social visit of Isfahan and/or Shiraz
- The winners in each field will be offered one week scientific visit of a number of top institutes worldwide with free accommodation, supported by the respective host which will be credited for 2017-2018
The 1st Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN) Congress and the Festival for awarding the USERN Prize will be held on 8-10 November, 2016, in Tehran, Iran.
