Iran, Hungary national libraries to sign MoU

Talking to IRNA on the third day of the ongoing 31st Tehran International Book Fair, he said that the agreement covers cultural and specialized arenas.

Laszlo further noted that translation is also at the center of attention and the two countries’ works will be translated into Persian and Hungarian languages.

He also voiced his country’s willingness for translation of a series of contemporary Iranian writers' works into Hungarian language.

The Hungarian official said that the country’s national library keeps Persian manuscripts dating back to 15th Century.

Hungarian people’s researches on Persian words in the language indicate their interest in the Persian language and culture, Laszlo said, referring to sisterhood agreements between the Iranian and Hungarian cities including Tehran and Budapest.

A Hungarian delegation comprising deputy foreign minister for cultural affairs and head of the country’s national library attended the ongoing Tehran International Book Fair.
