Iran, Mexico int'l book fairs to cooperate

Mexican Ambassador to Iran Ulises Canchola and Schulz in a meeting in Tehran book fair introduced the Mexican cultural event to the audience.

Schulz said that Guadalajara is the second major city in Mexico in light of its population and cultural and economic activities. Its cultural status is so high that is considered cultural center of the country.

Referring to similarities of Iran and Mexico, he called for boosting cultural relations between the two states.

As to Guadalajara Book Fair, he said that 52 Mexican publishers participate in the event and 23 Spanish-speaking countries are also present in the event.

The 29th Tehran International Book Fair opened in Shahr-e Aftab (sun city) on May 4 with the motto of 'Tomorrow is too late to read' and will work until May 14.
