Iran, Mexico sign MoU on social security cooperation

Ali Rabiei in a meeting with his Mexican counterpart Alfonso Navarrete Prida called his visit to Iran important in direction to develop bilateral cooperation and added that signing the MoU on cooperation is a good sign for beginning cooperation between Tehran and Mexico City.
Rabiei said that Iran and Mexico have always had good relations with each other and transferring experiences between the two countries in the field of social supports will strengthen the cooperation.
He stressed that Iran has valuable experiences in the field of labor relations, work security and sanitation, social security, and technical and vocational training, which can transfer it to Mexican side.
The minister also expressed Iranian companies, affiliated to Insurance Funds, readiness to participate in joint investment in issues like construction, mine, petrochemical, treatment and medicine.
Rabiei also reminded good experiences of Mexico in the field of improvement of insurance funds system and retirement and added that the MoU will prepare ground for transferring these experiences.
Alfonso Navarrete Prida expressed pleasure for visiting Iran and negotiation with his Iranian counterpart and added that his country considers promotion of ties with Iran very important.
He added that Mexico is interested to expand its social and economic cooperation with Tehran as well as political ties.
The two sides also agreed to form a joint committee under chairmanship of deputy ministers to follow up implementation of the MoU.
