Iran, Montenegro underline expansion of cultural ties

In the meeting, Suleimani expressed Iran's readiness to expand reciprocal cultural relations in the fields of cinema, theatre, book fair, visual arts, academic activities, research and creating appropriate ground to sign memorandum of understanding between the cultural bodies of the two states.

Suleimani also announced that in case of desire of Montenegrin universities, Iran is ready to prepare the needed capacities for teaching Persian Language at their universities and grant scholarships to students who want to study in Iran.

He said that in case of preparedness of Montenegrin Ministry of Culture for cooperation in the fields of film and cinema, Iran will prepare the ground for that.

Suleimani added may be cancellation of visa by Montenegro facilitate cultural interactions between the two countries.

Member of Montenegrin parliament and member of friendship group of Montenegro and Iran Ms. Aleksandra Vukovic said that the new government of Montenegro has special interest in cinema and is forming a film center in the country for first time.

She expressed readiness to establish connection between Iran and the film center so that Iranians can participate in Montenegrin international film festival.

Suleimani said that participation in book fair as well as translating literary works and critics in the books or magazines could be very influential in this concern.
