Iran offers Persian language courses in Senegal

This was announced during a meeting between Iran's Ambassador to Senegal Einollah Qasqavi and Senegalese Minister of Higher Education and Research Teuw Niane in Dakar. Iran's Cultural Attaché Hassan Esmati was also present in the meeting.

Speaking about Iran's political ties with Senegal, Qashqavi said that ties between the two countries can be promoted with the help of Senegalese Embassy in Tehran, IRNA reported.

He recalled that the Department of Persian Language, Literature and Civilization was established in Senegal's Cheikh Anta Diop University in 2003.

Iran can help Senegal establish technical and vocational schools in view of its experience in the field.

Niane also highlighted the long history of Iran-Senegal relations and said that the two sides should take the commonalities into consideration in developing ties.
