Iran to Partake Actively at New Delhi Book Fair

In an interview with IBNA, Managing Director of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) Amir Mas’oud Shahram-Nia described various programs and special meetings Iran has planned for participation at New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF).
"In recent years, due to the high status of the Persian language in India and the good reception of this country’s people of Iranian books, we decided to attend this event more strongly,” he said.
"On the other hand, the publishing industry of India is important to us, since there are potential readers for the Iranian translated works in this country. In the upcoming edition of New Delhi World Book Fair, we have established a stand in cooperation with Iran’s Cultural Attaché in India,” Shahram-Nia stated.
Managing Director of Iran’s Cultural Affairs Institute further said: "As well as special cultural programs, we will have various meetings that with Indian and international publishers who will attend the event to develop our international cooperation and introduce the potentials of Iranian publishing industry as well as the best Iranian books in our stand.”
Held for the past 45 years, New Delhi World Book Fair is now a major calendar event in the publishing world. The event is organized by National Book Trust (NBT) in association with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) annually at Pragati Maidan.
