Iran participates in Moscow UNODC Conference

In the report issued by the Iranian delegation after the closing ceremony of the three-day conference it is said that representatives from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Islamic Republic of Iran Police (IRIP) and the Economy and Treasure Ministry participated in the trans-regional conference and presented effective strategies for solidifying regional and international efforts in fields of discussion to the participating countries' representatives.
The gathering was cosponsored and organized by the host nation, participating countries, the European-Asian Group (EAG) the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), The International Training and Methodology Center for Financial Monitoring (ITMCFM) in Moscow's Marriott Hotel.
Among the topics of discussion in the gathering there were surveying the participating countries' legal systems strategies in anti-money laundering campaign, improving the international cooperation in that campaign, and strategies for cooperation among the monetary data and police forces of the participating countries.
In addition to Iran and the host country, Russia, the participating countries in the conference included Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belorussia and China.
