Iran participating in Moscow Int'l Book Fair

Iran's pavilion is featuring books on a number of topics including the Qur'an, philosophy, mysticism, history, Islamic economy and art, contemporary literature as well as children's literature, IRNA reported.

A meeting was also held at Moscow State Linguistic University in which Persian language experts participated. Iranian author Majid Qeysari and the head of Sureh Mehr Publication Abdolhamid Qarehdaghi were among the attendees.

Children literature is on the agenda of the 31th edition of the Russian event and presentations of the literary novelties for young readers, creative meetings, workshops, exhibitions and performances are expected.

The program of the fair is expected to be very rich as usual. It includes more than a hundred activities for children and adults. Within the business program, the Book Market of Russia conference will summarize the results of last year's event and set goals and objectives for the coming year's festival.

The event includes meetings with authors such as Sergei Lukyanenko, Dina Rubina, Guzel Yakhina, Dmitry Bykov and Tatiana Ustinova. Children's writer Mikhail Yasnov will present 'The Lesson of Laugh' by Leonid Kaminsky while illustrator Galya Zinko will show her works and drawings to Alice in Wonderland.

The centennial of Boris Zakhoder will be celebrated at the fair.

This year, the organizers brought together science fiction writers, art critics, publicists, sports commentators, chess players and politicians to the fair.
