“By registering 29 historical works, Iran has attained 10th rank in the world,” Samiollah Hosseini-Makarem added, according to IRNA.
He pointed to the presence of over 800,000 historical works in Iran, and said, “About 100,000 of these works have been identified, of which 32,000 have been registered as national artifacts and only 29 have been registered as international historical works.”
Hosseini-Makarem said that the neighboring countries that have limited historical works have taken advantage of this. They have registered many of historical works which belong to Iran, he added.
