Speaking to the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) Abbas Qanbari Baghestan said that scientific and academic cooperation lays the foundation for promotion of relations with other countries and tops the agenda of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as 'Iran's scientific diplomacy'.
He said that Iran is ready to prepare the grounds for further cooperation between Iranian and Malaysian universities.
At present, 15 Malaysian university students are studying in Iran, he said, adding that the figure is insignificant compared with 5,000 Iranians studying at Malaysian universities.
