Iran resumes cultural ties with Asia House in Spain

Ramon Moreno made the comments in a Saturday evening meeting with Ali-Reza Tabesh, the head of Farabi Cinematographic Foundation and Ali-Reza Esmaili, the Iranian cultural attaché in Spain, highlighting Asia House responsibility in sponsoring the various cultural, artistic and scientific activities of the Asian countries in Spain.
'Iran's strong presence was a spectacular beginning for other cultural interactions, especially in the field of introducing both the artistic achievements and the great personalities and thinkers of the two countries in Iran and Spain,' he said.
Moreno also referred to the deep influence of the Muslim scientists' presence in Spain for decades in shaping the Spanish civilization.
'One of the tasks of the Asia House is introducing those thinkers to the Spanish young generation and Iran's cooperation in that respect will be appreciated,' he added.
Farabi Foundation's Tabesh, too, spoke about the effective and historical background of the Islamic civilization in Spain and the roles played by such Muslim thinkers as ibn-Rushd and ibn-Arabi in shaping up to Spanish scientific and civilizational atmosphere.
'Farabi Foundation is ready for joint cinematographic productions aimed at introducing these thinkers in both the framework of full length feature films and animation productions,' said Tabesh.
The Iranian Cultural Attaché to Spain Ali-Reza Esmaili, too, appreciated the Asia House for its presentation of Iranian films in Madrid and Barcelona, highlighting the record of Iranian Cultural Attaché's cooperation with Asia House.
'I hope continuation of the Iranian Cultural Attaché and Spain's Asia House in the year 2016 will lead to offering Shi'a studies courses, bilateral relations seminars and several artistic programs,' he added.
