Iran, Romania opt for enhancing environment cooperation

During the meeting, Hamid Moayer and Christina Pashka Palmer underlined high capacities of Iran and Romania.

Moayer pointed to Iran’s vast capacities in the environment sector, and said, “Iran has attained considerable advances in environment protection and natural resources.

The Iranian ambassador said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has signed 35 environmental agreements with different world countries.

During the meeting, Moayer conveyed Vice-President and Head of Iran's Department of the Environment Massoumeh Ebtekar’s invitation to Romanian environment minister which was welcomed by her.

Pashka Palmer, for her part, welcomed the proposals by the Iranian ambassador and expressed the hope that her ministry could have suitable cooperation with Iran in the field of environment protection and natural resources, especially in the field of realization of green economy and inclusion of the same issue in the mutual cooperation.
