Iran, Serbia to develop academic cooperation

The 6-member delegation from universities of John Naisbitt, Kragujevac and Novi Sad and theological school of Belgrade University paid a visit to Tarbiat Modares University in order to develop scientific and cultural exchanges in the field of humanities, theological studies, technology and medical science.

Vice-Chancellor of the university for research and technology affairs Yaqub Fathollahi said that the university was founded after Islamic Revolution to train university teachers for Iran's universities and is admitting students in the fields of engineering, medicine, humanities, art, technology and agriculture.

Currently the university has around 9,000 students, some 6,000 of which are studying at post-graduate and 3,000 at the level of Ph.D.

Dean of Humanities faculty Gholam Hosseinzadeh said in the meeting that the faculty has bilateral relations with different universities in the world and welcomes cooperation with Serbian universities as well.
