Iran, South Korea ink cultural agreement

Based on the agreement, the two sides agreed to make an area of 18 square meters available to publishers from the other party for three years to display their publications, IRNA wrote.

In addition, both sides were committed to providing facilities to publishers.

Seoul International Book Fair opened on June 20 with the participation of Iranian publishers. Based at the COEX Convention Center in Gangnam-gu in the South Korean capital, the five-day event is being held under the theme 'New Definition' and will include conferences and lectures aimed at redefining people's perspective of books, Visitseoul.net wrote.

This year's fair intends to concentrate on audio books and other digital contents. It is hosting 234 Korean and 91 foreign publishers.

Iran's pavilion is displaying books in the fields of Iranian studies, art, contemporary and children literature plus books on religion. Introducing Tehran International Book Fair and inviting foreign publishers to attend the annual event are among the objectives of the Iranian pavilion.
