Iran, Spain keen on scientific, academic cooperation

Talking to IRNA on his meeting with officials of Alicante University in Valencia, Ali Reza Esmaeili said that he reviewed ways to enhance scientific ties between the Iranian universities and Spanish university of Alicante and undertaking joint activities.

'We also concluded good agreements to hold joint scientific meetings for introducing the two countries' luminaries,' he said.

Esmaeili further noted that vice chancellor of Alicante University for international affairs described ambience of the Iranian universities as positive for cooperation, saying that the university plans to exchange students with Allameh Tabatabaei University for the first time.

Officials of Alicante University agreed to his proposal to organize cultural and artistic exhibitions in the university, Esmaeili said.

Esmaeili also voiced interest in undertaking joint scientific and academic projects such as cooperation in doctoral dissertations themed Islamic, the Shia and Iranian studies
