Iran, Spain on path to promote cultural ties

'Both Iran and Spain have a rich cultural history and they can promote their cultural relations by relying on their experiences,' said Mohammad-Hassan Fadaei Fard on Thursday.
'The domain of culture can be a source to further relations among nations, away from political and economic reservations, he said.
'Though Iran and Spain saw a reduction in their economic ties during the past four years under international conditions, their cultural relations have remained unaffected,' Fadaei Fard added.
Iran's ambassador to Spain also said that one of the functions of the embassy's cultural department is getting the people of two countries to know each other.
'We are ready to help people of the two countries to know each other better by establishing exhibitions and organizing conferences,' he said.
Iran embassy's cultural section and the Foundation of Three Cultures have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Established in Spain in 1999, the foundation aims at promoting dialogue between nations.
