Iran, Turkmenistan Sign 9 MoU

Iran, Turkmenistan signed 9 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at the meeting between Iranian officials and Turkmen delegation, headed by President Hassan Rouhani and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Turkmen President.

Iran, Turkmenistan Sign 9 MoU on different fields of health, post, power transfer, sports, transportation, railroad, urban development and broadcasting were signed by the two countries’ officials in Tehran.

This is while, President Hassan Rouhani at joint news conference with his Turkmen counterpart, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, said that the two countries intend to boost their bilateral economic relations to $60 dollar in 10 years.

“The two countries cooperation in the fields of gas, electricity, road and railroad transportation as well as industry, agriculture, tourism and cultural issues were emphasized by the two sides,” he said.

According to Iranian President, the two countries are set to have long-term negotiations and cooperation to boost ties in economic, cultural and regional issues.

Besides bilateral cooperation in science, art and tourism, they also discussed on the regional issues, like the fight against terrorism, President Rouhani added.

Turkmen President, who arrived in Tehran this morning, is going to attend the 3rd Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Tehran tomorrow.
