Iranian Authors, Artists Exempted From Taxation

Hossein Noushabadi, Spokesman and Deputy Director of the Parliamentary Affairs and Provincial Departments of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry said: "The last guidelines were adopted in 2004 (1383) which may be reviewed every two years according to Article 5, but it has not changed over the years and requires serious review and adaptation with the activities under the supervision of this Ministry. This was achieved after many consultations and gathering the views of the people of culture and art.”
Noushabadi continued: "The above-mentioned instructions are in four sections: publications, press, cultural and artistic activities. Publications section includes the activities related to book publication. Press section consists of production, dissemination and publication of news and information, and the digital cultural sector includes cultural activities and festivals related to the Holy Quran, exhibitions, digital and non-digital cultural and Quranic museums and meetings, etc.”
