Following the Asian youth climbing competitions in Malaysia, Iran’s Mehdi Alipour, world silver medalist from Italy’s championship, managed to overcome the other Iranian representative Ehsan Asrar winning the bronze medal in the tournament.
In the speed event, the Singaporean climber Emmanuel Paul Ryan won the title by out powering the Kazakh rival.
Attracting climbers from several Asian countries, the 2015 International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) Asian youth Championship began in Malaysia on December 3 and will wrap up on December 6.
