Iranian Cultural Center, Nigerian TV to Hold Quran Competition

The decision to hold the competition was made in a meeting between head of the Iranian cultural center, Saeed Omidi, and director general of al-Afrikiy TV, Ishaq Bayu Aduale earlier this week.

Aduale in this meeting said the TV network was launched in 2013 to promote religious teachings and enhance unity in the Islamic society.

He said the TV’s programs are broadcast in Nigeria and 19 other African countries.

Omidi, for his part, lauded the media outlet’s efforts to promote Islam and voiced the Iran center’s readiness to partner with the TV station in organizing a competition on Quran memorization and recitation in Nigeria.
