Iranian film shines in India

The Iranian film was declared as the best in the Short Films section. Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Mumbai Mehdi Zare received the award on behalf of Seyyedpanahi.

The film tells the story of an old man who knows better than anyone else how to save water with droplets melting from ice. He reproduces the water from ice and ice from water in a form of cycle which becomes a part of his life.

It recently competed in 16th International Izmir Short Film Festival.

The international film festival, one of the most credible festivals, screened 30 films from different countries including Iran, India, Nepal, China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, the US, Egypt  and Morocco.

Held from Dec. 24-31, the film festival holds two sections of feature and short films and awards filmmakers who are making efforts to popularize Asian cinema in the world.
