Farhad Nazari who is in charge of “Memory of the World” committee in the library told IRNA on Monday that Iran is already engaged with Turkey in the process of joint registration of the great verse book Masnavi by the 13th century poet Mowlana as a common heritage given the fact the great verse book was composed in Konya which now falls within the Turkish territory.
However, he said, Afghanistan later on asked to join the process reasoning that Mowlana was born in the Afghan city of Balkh.
He said Iran welcomed joint registration of the book as it belongs not to a number of nationalities but the whole humanity.
