He received his prize from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the closing ceremony.
The ceremony was held at Sultan Ahmad Mosque in Istanbul after Friday prayers.
The top winner in recitation was an Indonesian and the runner-up was from the Philippines.
In the category of memorization of the entire Quran, memorizers from Turkey, Kuwait and Niger came first to third, respectively.
Iran’s representative Abuzar Karami did not win any ranks in this category despite his good performance.
The top rank winners in the recitation and memorization categories were respectively awarded cash prizes of 60,000 and 50,000 Turkish Liras.
Turkey’s first international Quran competition started in Istanbul on Monday, July 6, with the participation of 50 countries.
